It's Festival time! The Menendez Birthday
Festivities will be Feb. 27th thru Feb. 29th.
We
will again host a Friday Luncheon for visiting Spanish
and Menorcan dignitaries and performers. The Luncheon
will be open to the public. Members and guest need to
make reservations by sending a check to P.O. Box 4043,
St. Augustine, Fl 32085 or paying at the February Breakfast.
Cost for attendees will be $7.00. Make your reservations
now so we may have a good count. Be sure to come and enjoy!
Last year we had 85 attendees with live entertainment.
Don't
forget to wear your Los Floridanos gear during the weekend.
Our flags will also be flying on the Bridge of Lions and
Bayfront in honor of our descendants, if you haven't seen
them you won't want to miss them. It's a moving sight.

Bayfont; then South Lawn of the Castillo de San Marcos.
Ships assemble at Porpoise Point.
Escort of dignitaries from Fort to Bayfront by re-enactors.
ES REBOST and Paso Fino Stallion horses participate.

5:30pm Outback Crabshack starts serving dinner with Cervezas
and Sangria. Reasonably priced dinner
till tickets available.
Closing Entertainment starts with Sea Shantey song fest,
and Archeologist Chester DePratter's
Demonstration.
Men of Menendez (16th century re-enactors)

5:30pm Salute & Herald to ships - cannon fire from
Castillo
Ships empty guns as a sign of friendship, Bayfront re-enactors
return salutes.
Arrival and introduction of ships.
Don Pedro Menendez disembarks from his ship.
Volly of Joy - re-enactors, gun and cannon fire end the
evening.
Dignitaries and ES REBOST are escorted from the bayfront
to the Colonial Spanish Quarter gate.

till Renactors, captains & crew gather for Captain's

8:15 pm Champion stallions of the Paso Fino Breeders Club
